Estonian investors raise their stake in the Hüüru data center to 42.5 percent

Tallinn, Estonia, 28 September 2026. Estonian investors who joined the shareholders of MCF Group Estonia, which operates the Greenergy Data Centers facility in Hüüru, this summer have raised their stake in the Hüüru data center from 25.55 to 42.5 percent.

Estonian investors are pooled in the data center business by Tensor Aurora and UG Investments, the two partners behind the joint company Tensor Genesis. Tensor Genesis became a shareholder of MCF Group Estonia in July this year. The Three Seas Initiative Investment Fund (3SIIF), advised by Amber Infrastructure, also continues as a shareholder.

According to Tensor Estate co-founder and CEO Miko-Ove Niinemäe, the larger stake shows commitment to the Hüüru project.

“In the summer we said that Hüüru is a long-term project for us, and now we are showing it with actions,” said Niinemäe.

Niinemäe said the first phase of the AI factory at the data center will be completed by the end of the year, and that the later phases need strong shareholders who can make decisions quickly.

“Tensor together with UG Investments are those partners, and we make the important decisions together,” Niinemäe added.

The board of Tensor Genesis will also include Valdur Laid, head of UG Investments, who will soon join the supervisory board of MCF Group Estonia as well. The supervisory board was formed in the summer from representatives of 3SIIF and Tensor Estate. The day-to-day operations of the company continue to be led by management board members Kert Evert and Toomas Kell.

The first part of Greenergy Data Centers designed for artificial intelligence is currently being built out, and Nebius will use it as a tenant. After the first phase, the IT load of the facility will grow to about 22 megawatts. MCF Group Estonia has applied to Elering to increase its grid connection capacity to up to 200 megawatts.
